Community Haul is a monthly subscription box designed to celebrate local businesses and help reboot the local economy. By helping you discover your local alternatives every month we hope that you will continue to shop and support local through all aspects of your life.
Community Haul started in Nova Scotia in 2020 with the goal to help struggling local businesses during the pandemic. COVID has caused a health related economic recession that has had a major impact on both the local and global economy. Businesses, communities and families are working hard to stay connected while following new rules and restrictions.
Hamilton/Halton Community Haul is setting out to create a safe and fun way to support the local business community not only during these hard times but in the years to come. Community Haul is designed to forge connections, build community, and provide subscribers with the opportunity to explore local businesses- all from the safety (and comfort) of home.
We know that both Hamilton and Halton local businesses need our support and we wanted to help you continue to discover and support local. Bringing Community Haul to Hamilton and Halton was a no brainer!
Farmer’s markets and craft sales, weddings and charity bake sales- our community halls are a symbol of all things local. Since we’re together apart for the foreseeable future, we’ve transformed the community hall into a Community Haul.
We search far and wide to find high-quality local luxuries and unique products to share with our subscribers. Community Haul works exclusively with businesses in Hamilton and Halton to showcase the best of what our region has to offer.

Community Haul has partnered with Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation and $5 from every box sold is donated to the vital support that they provide when patients need it most.

Our intention is to highlight and support local vendors from around the Hamilton and Halton area. We want to put the spotlight on the business, not the product. Each month, we will post stories about the upcoming vendors, but the specific items to be included will be a mystery.
Each month subscribers receive 4-6 hand-picked items sourced from across Hamilton and Halton. Subscribers will know the names of featured vendors each month, but not the specific product being included in the monthly haul.
Subscribers can expect to receive items such as:
-Sweets and treats.
-Soaps, suds, bath, and body products.
-Locally roasted coffees, and hand-warming teas.
-Artisan handicrafts bound to amaze. Jams, Jellies, spices and sauces (oh my!).

If you have signed up for our month to month plan and are not happy, you can cancel at any time. Login to our customer management portal HERE to cancel your subscription.

No - If you are not ready to commit for the full year you can pick the month by month commitment level. This allows you to cancel your subscription at any time.

Yes. You will be charged HST on your purchase.
If you’ve accidentally entered the wrong information, or you’ve received a new credit card, don’t fret! It’s an easy fix. Login to our customer management portal HERE to change or update your billing information.
Yes. We charge a flat rate of $12 +tax to ship within Ontario and a flat rate of $15+tax to ship anywhere else in Canada. This charge is in addition to your monthly subscription fee.

Boxes ship around the middle of each month. Shipping times may vary based on your location and the shipping volumes.
As soon as packaging is complete and shipping labels are printed you will receive an email with your tracking information from the shipping provider.
